Welcome!
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Conservation Genetics Team at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. My research focuses on exploring applications of genomics and computational simulation tools in conservation biology, specifically focusing on the interplay between population size, deleterious variation, and inbreeding depression. Currently, I am working on understanding the genomic threats to extinction in several critically endangered Hawaiian bird species.
Previously, I obtained my PhD at UCLA working with Kirk Lohmueller and Robert Wayne, where I worked on systems including the Isle Royale moose population and the critically endangered vaquita porpoise.
Outside of research, I am an avid home cook, music enthusiast, and cyclist.
